Thomas Saunders

Thomas lives in Detroit and works out of the PASC Detroit studio. Thomas’ subject matter ranges from album covers, to famous singers, to famous Disney characters, to television shows of the 60s and 70s. Thomas uses mainly colored pencils, with the occasional use of watercolor, to render his portraits in bright colors and buoyant linework. He uses such precise detail that it often it seems even the grain of the wood is visible.

His artworks have been presented at Signal-Return, Detroit, MI (2024); PASC Detroit Gallery, Detroit, MI (2024); PASC at BasBlue, Detroit, MI (2024); PASC Chaps Loft, Detroit, MI (2023); the Detroit Repertory Theatre, Detroit, MI (2022); Westland City Hall, Westland, MI (2022); PASC Detroit Pop-Up Gallery, Detroit, MI (2022); and Circle Contemporary Gallery, Chicago, IL (2022). His artwork has been featured at the art fairs Open Invitational, Miami, FL (2024) and NADA presented by White Columns Gallery, Miami, FL (2024).
